Kate graduated from Clemson University in the spring of 2019 where she got a BFA in Visual Arts. She grew up in Charleston and moved back here after college, due to the flourishing art scene. She knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in art. She is inspired by the colors and textures found around the city. Kate works primarily with acrylic and gouache paint on wood panels. Her work tends to be focused on color, pattern, and the balance between abstraction and realism.
